མཚོ་མོ།

གསེར་~   སེར་~པོའི་    ཉི་  ~ མ་    ཤར་~   འདྲ་~    བོ~   །

sèr~   ser~boi    ñi   ~ma     xar~ drà~    bo~  ,

Shining like a golden sun,

    ལྷ་~   ཇོ་~བོའི་     གསེར་   ~ཞལ་     སེར་~   པོ་~   རེད~   །

    lha~   jo~voi    sèr  ~xăl     ser~   bo~    red~  .

    Is the gold face of the Jowo in Lhasa.

        དུས་~   ནམ་~ཡང་   གསོལ་   ~འདེབས་  མ་~   བརྗེད་~   དང་ ~  །

        dŭs~   nam~yaŋ    sòl   ~dèb    ma~   jéd~   dăŋ~  :

        Never forget to pray:

            མགོན་ ~  འདི་~ཡི་   ཕྲིན་  ~ལས་    འཛད་~   མཐའ་~   བྲལ~   །

            gòn~   dì~yi    trin   ~las     zàd~   tà~    drăl~  .

            The actions of this Lord will never wane.

དུང་~   དཀར་~པོའི་     ཟླ་   ~བ་     ཤར་~   འདྲ་~    བོ~   །

dŭŋ~   gar~boi    dá   ~va    xar~   drà~   bo~  ,

Shining like a conch-white moon,

    རྗེ་~   བསྟན་~འཛིན་     རྒྱ་   ~མཚོའི་    འཛུམ་~   ཞལ་~    རེད~  །

    jé~   dan~zìn   gyá   ~còi    zùm~   xăl~   red~ .

    Is the smiling face of the Venerable Tenzin Gyatso.

        བོད་~   རང་~གིས་     རང་  ~ཚུགས་     མ་~   བསྐྱུར་~    དང་  ~  །

        bŏd~   raŋ~gĭs    raŋ   ~cug     ma~   gyur~   dăŋ  ~  :

        May Tibet never abandon the hope for autonomy:

            རྗེ་~   དེ་~ཡི་     ཐུགས་   ~རྗེས་     འདོར་~   མི་~     སྲིད~  །

            jé~  dě~yi    tug  ~jés    dòr~   mi~   sìd~  .

            His compassion will never fail.

ལྷོ་~   གཡུ་~འབྲུག་ དགུང་ ~ནས་ གྲགས་~   འདྲ་~    བོ~ །

lho~   yú~drùg    gúŋ   ~nas    drăg~   drà~   bo~  ,

Like the thundering of the turquoise dragon of the south across the sk,y

    སྐྱབས་~   བསླུ་~མེད་    ཀར་  ~མ་     རིན་~   ཆེན་~    རེད~  །

    gyab~   lù~med    kar   ~ma    rin~   qen~   red~  .

    Is the infallible refuge, the precious Karmapa.

        ཡིད་~   དད་~པས་   གསོལ་   ~འདེབས་    མ་~   བརྗེད་~   དང་ ~  །

        yid~   dăd~bas    sòl   ~dèb     ma~   jéd~    dăŋ~  :

        Never forget to pray with devotion:

            བོད་~   གཞིས་~བྱེས་    འཛོམས་   ~ལ་    ཡུན་~   མི་~    རིང་~  །

            bŏd~   xís~jyěs    zòm   ~la    yun~   mi~    riŋ~  .

            The time will not be long when all Tibetans in Tibet and abroad will reunite.
