White clouds ascending in the sky,

    ལྷོ་  ~ཕྱོགས་ འཕགས་~ ཡུལ་~དུ་ ཕེབས་  ~  ན ཡེ།

    lho  ~qyog pàg~ yul~dŭ pheb  ~  na ye,

    If you are going south to the sacred land, *

        སྐྱབས་  ~མགོན་~   ཡིད་~ བཞིན་~གྱི་ ནོར་  ~ ~  བུར ཡེ།

        gyab  ~gòn   yid xín་gyi    nor  ~ ~  bŭr ye,

        To the Supreme Protector, the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel,

            སྐྱོ་  ~བའི་ ཞུ་~ མཆིད་~འདི་ ཕུལ་  ~  ~  རོགས ཡེ།

            gyo  ~bai   xŭ~ qìd~dì pul  ~ ~   rog ye.

            Please deliver this message of sadness.

འོ  ~ ས་  ~མཐའི་~   རྒྱང་~ རིང་~གི་ ཞིང་   ~   ན ཡེ།

hŏ ~ sa  ~tài gyáŋ~ riŋ~gi xĭŋ   ~   na ye,

Far away in a distant land,

    མི་  ~རིགས་~   སྐྱ་~ སེར་~གྱི་ ཚོགས་   ~   ལ ཡེ།

    mi  ~rig gya~ ser~gyĭ cog  ~  la ye

    As you bestow on monks and lay people of many nationalities

        ལེགས་  ~བཤད་~   ཟབ་ ~གསང་~གི་ ཆར་  ~ ~  རྒྱུན ཡེ།

        leg  ~xàd săb~ sàŋ~gĭ qar ~ ~  gyún ye.

        A continuous rain of secret and profound teachings,

            གནང་  ~བཞིན་~  སྐུ་ ~ཁམས་~དེ་ བདེ   ~ ~  འམ ཡེ།

            náŋ  ~xín gu~ kam~dě dé ~ ~  hăm ye?

            Is your health good?

འོ  ~ ང་  ~ཚོ་ གངས་~ ཕྲུག་~གི་ གཞོན་  ~   ནུ  ཡེ།

hŏ ~ ŋa  ~co    găŋ~ trug~gĭ xón  ~  nu ye

We youths of the Land of Snow

    སྐྱིད་  ~མེད མུན་~ ནག་~ན་ ལུས་  ~   ཀྱང་  ཡེ།

    gyid  ~med   mun~ nag~na lus  ~  gyaŋ ye.

    Have been left in dark unhappiness.

        ཁྱེད་  ~ཞལ་ དཀར་~ གསལ་~གྱི་ ཟླ་  ~ ~  བ ཡེ།

        We are waiting to see

            ནམ་  ~ཕེབས་~  རེ་~ སྒུག་~དེ་ བྱས་ ~ ~ ཡོད །

            nam  ~peb    re~ gúg~dě jyăs  ~ ~  yod.

            Your white and radiant moon-like face.

འོ ~ གདུག་  ~རྩུབ་ ཕྲག་~ དོག་~གི་ གསེབ་   ~   ནས །

hŏ ~ dúg  ~zub trag~ dŏg~gĭ sèb  ~   nas,

Even if here,

    སྦྱང་  ~མོས་ ངར་~ སྒྲ་~ཞིག་ བསྒྲགས་  ~   ཀྱང་ ཡེ།

    jyaŋ  ~mos ŋar~drá~jig drág  ~  gyaŋ ye,

    The hungry wolf is howling,

        ཉམ་  ~ཆུང་ གངས་~ ཕྲུག་~གི་ གཞོན་  ~ ~  ནུས ཡེ།

        ñam  ~quŋ găŋ~ trug~gĭ xón ~ ~   nus ye,

        The calls to you from us, the powerless youths of the Land of Snow,

            ཁྱེད་  ~འབོད་ སྐད་ ~ངག་~དེ་ མི་    ~  དམའ ཡེ།

            kyed  ~bòd   gad~ ŋag~dě      mi ~ ~  má ye.

            Will never abate.

འོ  ~  ཁྱེད་  ~ཞལ་ ཉིན་~ བྱེད་~ཀྱི་ དབང་  ~   པོ ཡེ།

If your face, like the sun that brings the day,

    Remains stable and everlasting,

        ང་  ~ཚོ་ གདོང་~ དམར་~གྱི་ བོད་  ~ ~  པའི ཡེ།

        ŋa  ~co   dóŋ~ már~gyi bŏd ~ ~  bai ye

        In the depth of our hearts, we ruddy-faced Tibetans

            སེམས་  ~གཏིང་~  འགྱུར་~ བ་~དེ་ མི་  ~ ~  སྲིད །

            sem  ~diŋ gyùr~ va~dě     mi ~ ~  sìd  .

            Will never change.

        Our wish and hope is that you never abandon us,

            náŋ  ~vai mòn~ dùn~dě xŭ ~ ~ hŏ ye .

            The countless youths of the Land of Snow.
