གཞས་ཚིག་    ཟླ་བ་མཚོ་མོ།

    གཞས་གདངས་    ཨ་བཟང་

    གཞས་མ་    ཟླ་བ་མཚོ་མོ།

    dá-wa cò-mo

མེས་~འེས་པོའི་    རིག་~མཛོད་    ཁྲོད་~ན འ~~~~~~།

mes~ěs-boi    rig~zòd    trod~na  ǎ~~~~~~,

In you the treasure of the culture of our forefathers,

    ཤེས་~འེས་རིག་    མཚོ་~མོ་    འཁྱིལ་~  འིལ~    རུང་།

    xes~ěs-rig    cò~mo    kyìl~ ĭl~   ruŋ,

    An ocean of knowledge, is gathered.

དེང་~འེང་གི་    གཞོན་~ནུ་    རྣམས་~ འམ~   ཀྱིས།

děŋ~ěŋ-gĭ    xón~nu    nám~ ǎm~  gyis,

But you, youngsters of today,

    བརྩེ་~འེ་གདུང    མེད་~པས་    སྐྱོ་~ འོ  འོ~ འོ   སོང་~~~~~~།

    ze~ě-dúŋ    med~bas    gyo~ ǒ   ǒ~ ǒ  soŋ~~~~~~.

    Have no love for it, so I feel sad.

བཙན་~འན་པོའི་    ལོ་~རྒྱུས་    ཁྲོད་~ན འ~~~~~~།

zan~ǎn-boi    lo~gyús    trod~na ǎ~~~~~~

In the histories of the kings,

    རླབས་~འབ་ཆེན་    མཛད་~རྗེས་    མང་~  འང~    ཡང་།

    láb~ǎb-qen    zàd~jés    maŋ~  ǎŋ~    yaŋ.

    Many magnificent deeds are told.

དེང་~འེང་སྐབས    ཐུ་~བོད་    ཚང་~  འང~    ལ།

děŋ~ěŋ-gab    tu~bǒd    caŋ~  ǎŋ~  la

But today all of Tibet

    ཉམས་~འམ་རྒུད་    བྱུང་~བས་    སྐྱོ་~ འོ  འོ~ འོ   སོང་~~~~~~།

    ñam~ǎm-gúd    jyǔŋ~vas    gyo~ǒ   ǒ~ ǒ  soŋ~~~~~~.

    Has deteriorated, so I feel sad.

ཕ་~ འ་ཡུལ་    གངས་~ཅན་    ལྗོངས་~འདིར འི~~~~~~།

pa~ ǎ-yul    gǎŋ~jan    jóŋ~dìr  ĭ~~~~~~,

In this country of snow, our fatherland,

    རིན་~འིན་ཆེན་    གཏེར་~སྣ་    མང་~  འང~ ཡང་།

    rin~ĭn-qen    der~nà    maŋ~  ǎŋ~    yaŋ.

    There are many mines of precious stones.

ནང་~འང་མི་    སྤུན་~ཟླ་    རྣམས་~  འམ~   ལ།

naŋ~ǎŋ-mi    bun~dá    nám~  ǎm~  la

But our families, brothers, and sisters

    སྤྱད~ འདདབང    མ་~བྱུང་    སྐྱོ་~ འོ  འོ~ འོ    སོང་~~~~~~།

    jyad~ ǎd-wáŋ    ma~jyǔŋ    gyo~ǒ   ǒ~ ǒ  soŋ~~~~~~.

    Have no strength to enjoy them, so I feel sad.

གདོང་~ འང་དམར་    བོད་~པ་    ཚང་~གི འི~~~~~~།

dóŋ~ ǎŋ-már    bǒd~ba    caŋ~gĭ  ĭ~~~~~~,

For all the ruddy-faced Tibetans,

    ཕ་~འ་སྐད་    རིན་~ཆེན་    གསེར་~  འེ~ སྣག

    pa~ǎ-gad    rin~qen    sèr~  ě~    nàg

    The precious golden ink of our father language

གཞན་~འན་སྐད་    འདྲ་~མ་    འདྲེས་~  འེས~    ཀྱིས།

xán~ǎn-gad    drà~ma    drès~  ě~   gyis,

Has become mixed with other languages

    ལྷད~ འདསྐྱོན་    བྱུང་~བས་    སྐྱོ་~ འོ  འོ~ འོ    སོང་~~~~~~།

    lhad~ ǎd-gyon    jyǒŋ~vas    gyo~ǒ  ǒ~ ǒ  soŋ~~~~~~.

    And thus adulterated, so I feel sad.

    གཞན་~འན་སྐད་    འདྲ་~མ་    འདྲེས་~  འེས~    ཀྱིས།

    xán~ǎn-gad    drà~ma    drès~  ě~  gyis,

    Has become mixed with other languages

        ལྷད~ འད་སྐྱོན་   བྱུང་~བས་   སྐྱོ་~ འོ  འོ~ འོ    སོང་~~~~~~།

        lhad~ ǎd-gyon    jyǒŋ~vas    gyo~ǒ   ǒ~ ǒ  soŋ~~~~~~.

        And thus adulterated, so I feel sad.
