ཨ་གྲོགས་~པོ་ གྲོགས་~མོ་ གནས་~སྐོར་ལ་  འགྲོ ~   །

a drŏg ~bo   drŏg~mo  nás~gor-la   drò ~   ,

Friends, men and women, let’s go on pilgrimage to the sacred places,

    ཨ་~མདོ་ ཡུལ་~ལ་ གནས་~སྐོར་ལ་ འགྲོ ~   །

    a~dò yul~la nás~gor-la drò ~   !

    Let’s go on pilgrimage to the sacred places of Amdo!

        ད་~ལོ་ འདོ་~རིག་ རྟ་~ཡི་ ལོ ~   །

        dă~lo   dò~rig   da~yi   lo ~   ,

        This year is the year of the excellent Horse,

            རྟ་~ཡི་ ལོ་~ལ་ གངས་~བསྐོར་ལ་ འགྲོ ~   །

            da~yi lo~la nás~gor-la drò ~   .

            And in the Year of the Horse, snow mountains are to be circumambulated.

རྨ་~ཆེན་ རྨ་~ཆེན་ གངས་~རི་ འདི ~   །

ma~qen ma~qen găŋ~ri dì ~

The snow mountain of Machen

    གངས་~ཅན་ བོད་~ཀྱི་ བླ་~རི་ལ་ རེད།

    găŋ ~jan bŏd~gyi lá~ri-la  red,

    Is the mountain of life of Tibet, the Land of Snow,

        ཨ་~མདོ་ ཡུལ་~གྱི་ སྐྱེས་~རི་ལ    རེད ~   །

        a~dò yul~gyĭ gyes~ri-la red.

        It is the mountain that gave birth to the Amdo region.

ཕྱག་~གསུམ་ འཚོལ་~དང་ ཁ་~ལས་ལ་ དགེ ~   །

qyag~sùm   còl~dăŋ   ka~las-la   gé ~   ,

Let’s offer three prostrations and our activities will be successful,

    སྐོར་~གསུམ་ རྒྱོབ་~དང་ རླུང་~རྟ་ལ་ སྐྱེད ~   །

    gor~ sùm   gyób~ dăŋ   lúŋ~da-la     gyed ~   .

    Let’s circumambulate it three times and our fortune will increase.

        རླུང་~རྟ་ རྟ་~རྒོད་ རྒྱུག་~རྒྱུག་ལ་  ཡིན ~   །

        lúŋ~da   da~gód   gyúg~gyúg-la    yin ~   .

        The wild horse of fortune will gallop.

            གྲོགས་~པོ་ ཐམས་~ཅད་ སྐོར་~ར་ལ་ འགྲོ ~   །

            drŏg~bo tam~jad gor~ra-la drò ~  .

            All us friends, let’s go circumambulate.

        ད་~ལོ་ གཡང་~དཀར་ ལུག་~གི་ལ་ལོ ~།

        dă~lo yáŋ~gar lug~gĭ-la   lo ~   ,

        This year is the year of the good Sheep,

            ལུག་~གི་ ལོ་~ལ་ མཚོ་~སྐོར་ལ་ བྱེད ~།

            lug~gĭ lo~la nás~gor-la jyěd ~   .

            And in the Year of the Sheep sacred lakes are to be circumambulated.

མཚོ་~མོ་ མཚོ་~མོ་ ཁྲི་~ཤོར་ རྒྱལ་~མོ་ འདི ~   །

cò~mo   cò~mo   tri~xor   gyál~mo   dì ~   

The Kokonor Lake

    གངས་~ཅན་ བོད་~ཀྱི་ བླ་~མཚོ་ལ་ ཡིན ~།

    găŋ ~jan   bŏd~gyi   lá~cò la    yin ~,

    Is the lake of life of Tibet, the Land of Snow,

        ཨ་~མདོ་ ཡུལ་~གྱི་ ནོར་~མཚོ་ལ་ ཡིན~   །

        a~dò   yul~gyĭ   nor~cò-la    yin~   .

        It is the lake that brings wealth to the Amdo region.

ཕྱག་~གསུམ་ འཚོལ་~དང་ སྟོབས་~འབྱོར་ལ་ རྒྱས་ ~   །

qyag~sùm   còl~dăŋ   dob~jyòr-la   gyás ~   ,

Let’s offer three prostrations and our strength and wealth will increase,

    འབྱོར་~ཕྱུག་ འབྱོར་~ཕྱུག་ ཀླུ་~དང་ མཉམ~།

    jyòr~qyug   jyòr~qyug   lú~ dăŋ ñám~.

    Our wealth will equal that of the Nagas.

        སྐོར་~གསུམ་ རྒྱོབ་~དང་ བདེ་~སྐྱིད་ལ་ ལྡན~   །

        gor~ sùm  gyób~ dăŋ  dé~gyid-la   dán~ ,

        Let’s circumambulate it three times and be joyful,

            བདེ་~སྐྱིད་ ལྷ་~ཡི་ ཁམས་~དང་ལ་ འདྲ ~   །

            dé~gyid  lha~yi   kam~ dăŋ-la   drà ~ .

            Our happiness will equal that of the Devas.

                ཨ་~མདོ་ ཡུལ་~ལ་ གནས་~སྐོར་ལ་ འགྲོ ~   །

                a~dò yul~la nás~gor-la drò ~   .

        dă~lo   rin~qen   drel~gyĭ   lo ~   ,

        This year is the year of the precious Monkey,

            སྤྲེལ་~གྱི་ ལོ་~ལ་ རྫོང་~སྐོར་ལ་  བྱེད ~།

            drel~gyĭ   lo~la   zóŋ~gor-la   jyěd ~   .

            And in the Year of the Monkey the sacred fortresses are to be circumambulated.

གནས་~མཆོག་ བྲག་~དཀར་ སྤྲེལ་~རྫོང་ འདི ~   །

nás~qòg   drăg~gar   drel~ zóŋ    dì ~   

The sacred place of Tragkar Treldzong *

    མཁའ་~འགྲོ་ སྟོང་~གི་ བཞུགས་~རྫོང་ལ་ ཡིན ~   །

    ka~drò   doŋ~gĭ   xúg~ zóŋ-la   yin ~   ,

    Is the fortress where thousands of dakinis dwell,

        སློབ་~དཔོན་ པད་~མའི་ སྒྲུབ་~རྫོང་ལ་ ཡིན ~།

        lòb~bon  bad~mai  drúb~ zóŋ-la   yin ~  .

        It is the fortress where Master Padmasambhava practiced.

ཕྱག་~གསུམ་ འཚོལ་~དང་ སྡིག་~སྒྲིབ་ལ་ འདག ~

qyag~sùm   còl~dăŋ   díg~dríb-la   dàg ~,

Let’s offer three prostrations and our obstacles and negativities will be purified,

    ཕན་~ཡོན་ རྡོ་~རྗེའི་ གདན་~དང་ལ ་མཚུངས ~   །

    pan~yon   dó~jéi   dán~ dăŋ-la   cùŋ ~   .

    The benefits of visiting this place are equal to those of visiting Bodh Gaya.

        སྐོར་~གསུམ་ རྒྱོབ་~དང་ ངན་~སོང་ལ་མེད ~།

        gor~ sùm  gyób~ dăŋ ŋan~soŋ-la  med ~ .

        Let’s circumambulate it three times and there will be no lower existences for us.

            བདེ་~བ་ ཅན་~གྱི་ ཡུལ་~ནས་ སྐྱེ ~   །

            dé~va   jan~gyĭ   yul~nas    gye ~   .

            We will be born in the pure land of Sukhavati**.

                ཨ་~མདོ་ ཡུལ་~ལ་ གནས་~སྐོར་ལ་ འགྲོ ~   །

                a~dò   yul~la   nás~gor-la   drò ~   .

            བདེ་~བ་ ཅན་~གྱི་ ཡུལ་~ནས་ སྐྱེ ~   །

            We will be born in the pure land of Sukhavati,
