ང་ཚོ་~ འོ~  གངས་~ འང~ཅན་   བོད་~འོད~  མིས~ ཡེ~ །

ŋa-co~ ǒ~  gǎŋ~ ǎŋ~jan   bǒd~ ǒd~  mis~ ye~ ,

We, Tibetan people of the Land of Snow,

    ཕ་~ འ~སྐད་   གསེར་~ འེ~གྱི་   ནོར་~འོ~ འོ~ ~  བུ~ ཡེ~ །

    pa~ ǎ~gad   sèr~ ě~gyĭ   nor~ ǒ~ ǒ~ ~  bǔ~ ye~ ,

    Hope from the core of our hearts

        མི་ཉམས་~  གོང་~  འང~འཕེལ་    གཏང་~འང~  བའི་~ ཡེ~ །

        mi-ñam~  gǒŋ~  ǎŋ~pel    daŋ~ǎŋ~  vai~ ye~ ,

        That the golden jewel of our father language

            སྙིང་ནས་~   རེ་སྒུག་~  བྱས་~འས~  ཡོད~ །

            ñìŋ-nas~   re-gúg~  jyǎs~ǎs~  yod~ .

      Will develop and never decay.

    tun~ ǔn~min   naŋ~ ǎŋ~qos   zaŋ~ǎŋ~ ǎŋ~ ~  ma~ ye~ ,

    Hope from the core of our hearts

        འཛམ་གླིང་~  གོ་~  འ~ལའི་~   ལྗོངས་~འང་~ སུ~ ཡེ~ །

        zàm-líŋ~  gǒ~  ǒ~lai~  jóŋ~ǎn~ su~ ye~ ,

        That the uncommon and pure inner teachings

            དར་བའི་~   རེ་སྒུག་~   བྱས་~འས~  ཡོད~ །

            dǎr-vai~   re-gúg~  jyǎs~ǎs~  yod~ .

            Will spread in the dimension of the world.

    qol~ ǒ~sùm   bǒd~ ǒd~rig   bun~ǔn~ ǔn~ ~  dá~ ye~ ,

    Hope from the core of our hearts

        བརྩེ་བའི་~  མཐུན་~  འུན~སྒྲིལ་~   ཟབ~འ་~ མོ~ ~ །

        ze-vai~  tùn~  ǔn~dríl~   sǎb~ǎ~ mo~ ~ ,

        That the Tibetan brothers and sisters of the three regions

            ཐོབ་པའི་~   རེ་སྒུག་~   བྱས་~འས~  ཡོད~ །

            tob-bai~   re-gúg~  jyǎs~ǎs~  yod~ .

      Will reach a deep and loving unity.

མདོར་ན་~ འ~  ཁ་~ འ~བའི་   ལྗོངས་~འོང་~  ཀྱི~ ཡེ~ །

dòr-na~ ǎ~  ka~ ǎ~vai   jóŋ~ ǒn~  kyi~ ye~ ,

In short, we hope from the core of our hearts

    བོད~ འོད~མི་   ས་~ འ~ཡ་   དྲུག་~འུ~ འུ~ ~  པོས~ ཡེ~ །

    bǒd~ ǒd~mi   sa~ ǎ~ya   drǔg~ǔ~ ǔ~ ~  bos~ ye~ ,

    That the six million Tibetans of the Land of Snow

        རང་དབང་~  བདེ་~  འེ~བའི་~   ཐོབ་~འོ~ དབང~ ཡེ~ །

        raŋ-wáŋ~  dé~  ě ~vai~   tob~ ǒ~ wáŋ~ ye~ ,

        Will obtain the right to the happiness of freedom.

            ཐོབ་པའི་~   རེ་སྒུག་~   བྱས་~འས~  ཡོད~ །

            tob-bai~   re-gúg~  jyǎs~ǎs~  yod~ .

      We hope they will obtain it.
