གྲི་~  འིམཚོན་  མ་~འཆང་   གདོང་~དམར་   བོད་~ འོཔ~ ~ །

drĭ~  ĭcòn   ma~qàŋ     dóŋ~már    bǒd~ ǒba~ ~ !

Don’t take up knives and weapons, oh, ruddy-faced Tibetans!

    མཐུན་~  འུནསྒྲིལ་  མ་~འཆུག་   གངས་~ཅན་   བོད་~ འོད་~ པ~ ~ །

    tùn~  ǔndríl   ma~qùg    gǎŋ~jan    bǒd~ ǒd~ba~ ~ !

    Don’t fail in our unity, oh, Tibetans from the Land of Snow!

གངས་~  འང་ཅན་   བོད་~ཀྱི་   མདུན་~ལམ་   བསམ་~ འམ~ འམ~ ན~ ~ །

gǎŋ~  ǎŋjan   bǒd~gyi   dùn~lam   sàm~ ǎm~ ǎm~ na~ ~ ,

If you think of the future of Tibet, the Land of Snow,

    ང་~  འ་ཚོ་  བོད་~ལ་   ཡོན་~ཏན་   འཛོམས་~ འོམ~ རན~ ~ །

    ŋa~  ǎco   bǒd~la   yon~dan   zòm~ ǒm~ ran~ ~ .

    The time has come for us to gather our positive qualities for Tibet.

Don’t decorate yourselves with turquoise and coral, oh, ruddy-faced Tibetans!

    Don’t discard knowledge, oh, Tibetans from the Land of Snow!

    Don’t destroy the environment, oh, Tibetans from the Land of Snow!

If you think of the beautiful landscapes of Tibet,

    ŋa~  ǎcos   bǒd~gyi   pa~kyim   zìn~ ĭn~ ran~ ~ .

    The time has come for us to uphold our home, Tibet.

    Don’t speak the language of propaganda, oh, Tibetans from the Land of Snow!

    The time has come for us to devote ourselves to our culture,
