The sun,

    ཉི་~མ་ལགས་  གསེར་~ འེ~གྱི ༑

    ñi~malag  sèr~ ě~gyi

    Golden sun,

        མེ་~ འེ~ཏོག་~ འོག~ ~ ༑

        me~ ě~dog~ dog~ ~

        Like a flower,

            མཁའ་~ འ~ ལ་~  འཁྲུངས་~ འུང~  ཡོད~ ~ །

            kà~ ǎ~ la~  trùŋ~ ǔn~  yod~ ~ .

            Has risen in the sky.

        འོད་~སྣང་ནི་  ས་~ འ་ལ་~ ༑

        ǒd~nàŋ-ni  sa~ ǎ-la~

        Its light

            ཕོག་~ འོག~ ཡོད~ འོད~ ~ །

            pog~ ǒg~ yod~ ǒd~ ~ .

            Has struck the earth.

ཕ་~འ་ས་   གངས་~ཀྱི་  ར་~ འ~ འ~བ།

pa~ǎ-sa   gǎŋ~gyi  ra~ ǎ~ ǎ~va,

The snow mountains encircling the fatherland,

    ས་~ འ་ཡི་  འདབ་~ མ་  མཁའ་~ འ་ལ་~  རྒྱས་~ འས~ ཡོད~~~~ །

    sa~ ǎ-yi  dàb~ ma  kà~ ǎ-la~  gyás~ ǎs~ yod~~~~ .

    Petals of the earth, have spread to the sky.

ཕ་~འ་ཁྱིམ་  ཀ་~བཞི་  གདུང་ འུང་~  དྲུག འུག

pa~ǎ-kyim  ga~xí  dúŋ ǔŋ~  drǔg ǔg,

The paternal house, with four pillars and six beams,

    མེ་~ཏོག་  དེ་~ལ་  ཕྲ་~རྒྱན་  བཏབ་~ འ~ ཡོད~ འོད~~ །

    me~dog  dě~la  tra~gyán  dab~ ǎ~ yod~ ǒd~ .

    Has been set as an ornament for that flower.
