In today’s world, so-o ya-la !

    ནོར་~བུ་   མི་~འདུག་   མ་~  ལ~  གསུངས~ འུང~~~།

    Do not say there are no gems so-o ya-la !

ཇོ་~ཤཀ་   ཡིད་~བཞིན་   ནོར་~འོ  བུ~ལ།

jǒ~xak   yid~xín   nor~ǒ  bǔ~la,

If the statue of Buddha Shakyamuni is not a gem,

    ནོར་~བུ་   མི་~འདུག་   མ་~  ལ~  གསུངས~ འུང~~~།

    nor~bǔ   mi~dùg   ma~  la~  sùŋ~ ǔŋ~~~!

    In the bodies of youthful men!

    བསྭོ~འོ  ཡ་~ལ།

    sò~ǒ  ya~la

གཞོན་~པའི་   དཔའ་~ཉམས་   རྩལ་~འལ  གསུམ~ལ།

xón~bai   ba~ñam   zal~ǎ  sùm~la,

If splendor, charm, and dexterity are not gems,

    ནོར་~བུ་   མིན་~ན་   གང་~འང  རེད།   བསྭོ་~་གསོན་~དང་   ལེགས་~མོ་  བསྭོ~འོ~~~།

    nor~bǔ   min~na   gǎŋ~ǎŋ  red.   sò~ sòn~dǎŋ   leg~mo  sò~ǒ!

    What are they then? Listen carefully, so-o!

    On the bodies of young ladies!

གཡུ་~དང་   བྱུ་~རུ་   སྤོས་~འོས  ཤེལ~ལ།

yú~dǎŋ   jyǔ~ru   bos~ǒs  xel~la,

Adorned with turquoise, coral and amber,

    ནོར་~བུ་   མིན་~ན་   གང་~འང  རེད།   བསྭོ་~་གསོན་~དང་   ལེགས་~མོ་  བསྭོ~འོ~~~།
