སེར་~འེ་  ཀྱི་~ལེ་ ཉི་~མ་ ཤར་~འདྲ་ བོ~ ~ ~།

sèr~ě  gyi~le ñi~ma xar~drà vo~ ~ ~,

Just as the sun rises, golden and serene,

    དཔེར་~འེ་ བཞག་~ན་ རྩ་~བའི་ བླ་~མ་ རེད~ ~ ~།

    ber~ě xág~na za~vai lá~ma red~ ~ ~.

    May I compare this to my root guru.

    སེར་~འེ་  ཀྱི་~ལེ་   ཉི་~མ་   ཤར་~འདྲ་   བོ~ ~ ~།

gu~ sèr~gyĭ ñi~ma   xar~drà   red.

Whose body shines like the sun’s golden rays.

    གསུང་~ སྙན་~མོ་ རྣ་~བར་ རང་~འགྲུབ་ རེད།

    sùŋ~ ñàn~mo   ná~var   raŋ~drùb   red.

    Whose harmonious voice manifests spontaneously to my ear.

        སྐུ་~ གསེར་~གྱི་   ཉི་~མ་   ཤར་~འདྲ་   རེད།

        gu~ sèr~gyĭ ñi~ma   xar~drà   red,

        Whose body shines like the sun’s golden rays,

        གསུང་~ སྙན་~མོ་   རྣ་~བར་   རང་~འགྲུབ་   རེད།

            sùŋ~ ñàn~mo   ná~var   raŋ~drùb   red.

            Whose harmonious voice manifests spontaneously to my ear.

            ཁོང་~འོང~ སྐུ་~ཚེ་ བརྟན་~པའི་ བཀྲ་~ཤིས་ ཤོག~ ~ ~

            koŋ~ǒŋ~ gu~ce dan~bai dra~xis xog~ ~ ~!

                May he have a long and stable life!

དཀར་~འ་  ལམ་~མེར་ དུང་~ཟླ་   ཤར་~འདྲ་   བོ~ ~ ~།

Just as the moon rises in the East, white and iridescent like a conch shell,

    དཔེར་~འེ་ བཞག་~ན་   བྱམས་~ལྡན་   ཕ་~མ་   རེད~ ~ ~།

    ber~ě xág~na jǎm~dán pa~ma red~ ~ ~.

    May I compare this to my beloved parents.

        དཀར་~འ་  ལམ་~མེར་   དུང་~ཟླ་   ཤར་~འདྲ་   བོ~ ~ ~།

        xǎl~ zùm~gar   dá~wa   xar~drà   red,

Bright light, appearing like a curtain of rainbow colors,

    དཔེར་~འེ་ བཞག་~ན་   སློབ་~དཔོན་   དམ་~པ་   རེད~ ~ ~།

    ber~ě xág~na lòb~bon dǎm~ba red~ ~ ~.

    May I compare this to the holy Master.

        འོད་~འོད་་  ལམ་~མེར་   འཇའ་~གུར་   ཕུབ་~འདྲ་   བོ~ ~ ~།

        hǒd~ǒd  lam~mer   jà~gǔr   pub~drà   vo~ ~ ~,

    ནང་~ སློབ་~བུ་   སྟོང་~གི་   རྒྱན་~ཆ་   རེད།

    naŋ~ lòb~bǔ doŋ~gi gyán~qa  red.

    Ornament of thousands of students.

        ཤེས་~ ཡོན་~ཏན་  མཚོ་~མོ་   རང་~འཁྱིལ་   རེད།

        xes~ yon~dan  cò~mo   raŋ~kyìl   red,

        A swirling ocean of knowledge and quality which manifests spontaneously,

        ནང་~ སློབ་~བུ་   སྟོང་~གི་   རྒྱན་~ཆ་   རེད།

            naŋ~ lòb~bǔ   doŋ~gi   gyán~qa   red.

            Ornament of thousands of students.

            མཚན་~འན~ སྙན་~གྲགས་   རྒྱས་~པའི་   བཀྲ་~ཤིས་   ཤོག~ ~ ~

                càn~ǎn~ ñàn~drǎg gyás~bai  dra~xis   xog~ ~ ~!

                May his fame intensify limitlessly!

ཁྲ་~འ་  ཆིལ་~ལེར་ སྐར་~ཚོགས་  ཤར་~འདྲ་   བོ~ ~ ~།

tra~ǎ  qil~ler gar~cog xar~drà   vo~ ~ ~,

Just as the constellations and stars that sparkle,

    དཔེར་~འེ་ བཞག་~ན་   བོད་~རིགས་   སྤུན་~ཟླ་   རེད~ ~ ~།

    ber~ě xág~na bǒd~rig bun~dá red~ ~ ~.

    May I compare these to my Tibetan brothers and sisters.

        ཁྲ་~འ་  ཆིལ་~ལེར་   སྐར་~ཚོགས་  ཤར་~འདྲ་   བོ~ ~ ~།

        tra~ǎ  qil~ler   gar~cog  xar~drà   vo~ ~ ~,

        Just as the constellations and stars that sparkle,

            དཔེར་~འེ་ བཞག་~ན་   བོད་~རིགས་   སྤུན་~ཟླ་   རེད~ ~ ~།

            May I compare these to my Tibetan brothers and sisters,

བློ་~ རིག་~པ་ སྐར་~ཆུང་ ཤར་~འདྲ་ རེད།

ló~ rig~ba gar~quŋ xar~drà  red.

Whose knowledge is like the small stars that appear in the sky.

    ནང་~ མཐུན་~སྒྲིལ་   འོད་~མདངས་   རང་~འགྲུབ་   རེད།

    naŋ~ tùn~dríl hǒd~dàŋ raŋ~drùb red.

    Union and harmony spontaneously manifest, the radiant light of our unity.

        བློ་~ རིག་~པ་   སྐར་~ཆུང་   ཤར་~འདྲ་   རེད།

        ló~ rig~ba   gar~quŋ   xar~drà    red.

        Whose knowledge is like the small stars that appear in the sky.

        ནང་~ མཐུན་~སྒྲིལ་   འོད་~མདངས་   རང་~འགྲུབ་   རེད།

            naŋ~ tùn~dríl   hǒd~dàŋ   raŋ~drùb   red.

            Union and harmony spontaneously manifest, the radiant light of our unity.

            ལས་~འས~ བསམ་~དོན་   འགྲུབ་~པའི་   བཀྲ་~ཤིས་   ཤོག~ ~ ~
